Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have their pal Mark Childers to thank for their great relationship today. Their love story began when the singer’s bassist happens to be the National Hockey League star’s friend, too. Childers wanted Underwood to meet Fisher, though he was living in another country at the time.

However, the singer-songwriter was a little skeptical about going on blind dates, especially since they lived far away from each other. She then suggested that they meet at the backstage of her concert. After the semi-meet-and-greet, they showed perfect chemistry that was off the charts. Though it took them three months before they saw each other again personally, they finally had their first date. They made little investments in their relationship, though, talking to each other every day that made their love stronger. Underwood and Fisher tied the knot in 2010 and now have two kids.
