According to the Desperado actress, she thought she was going to an event as stated by her friends who set up the blind date. Pinault himself assumed that Hayek knew that it was a date and that he was coming to meet her. Fortunately, the blind date blossomed into romance and the two are very much together these days.

Many thought that the actress simply married the billionaire because of his money. However, Hayek revealed that when she agreed to get married, she drew a line on their finances. It is not surprising that Pinault accepted her conditions, stating that it was one of the reasons why he fell in love with her. They have one daughter named Valentina.
