Although he did have a passion for baseball during his childhood, Tim McGraw eventually shifted his sights to music. Born Samuel Timothy McGraw, Tim learned how to play the guitar by the time he was a college student. It was also around that point when he started performing gigs. Well, from these small beginnings, it’s safe to say he has since made it big in the entertainment industry.

While success didn’t come to him as quickly as a snap of a finger, Tim kept on making songs. Thanks to his determination, the country artist got his first big shot to fame when his album, Not a Moment Too Soon, was launched. Since then, he has released as many as 65 singles, 25 of which eventually became chart-toppers. Along the way, though, Tim gave on-screen gigs a shot and landed acting credits for projects such as The Blind Side, The Shack, and The Kingdom.
