With that said, one notable example would be the Idol franchise, started by Simon Cowell. Now recognized for the sugar-free remarks he gives contestants, Simon has spent portions of his investment money working on other endeavors. This includes his work as a producer and promoter.

Through the years, the America’s Got Talent judge has produced albums and records for artists such as James Arthur, Noah Cyrus, Westlife, and Susan Boyle.
