Hugh Jackman catapulted into stardom after portraying the fictional superhero character of Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, which in part increased his net worth to $180 million. At the peak of his career, he reportedly received $20 million per movie as a base salary before backend participation as Wolverine.

Having enjoyed a drama course he took at a university, Jackman enrolled and completed a one-year acting course at the Actor’s Center in Sydney and continued his education at the Western Australian Academy of Performance Arts of Edith Coward University in 1994. Over the years, Jackman achieved great success in the entertainment industry to a great degree. Outside of Marvel, the actor has starred in numerous films and other projects like Kate & Leopold, Swordfish, The Boy from Oz, The Prestige, The Greatest Showman, Australia, and many more.
